1. iWoz – Steve Wozniak (Fascinating insight into one of the world’s premier minds) (Non-fiction)
2. Go, Kiss the World – Subroto Bagchi (Wisdom personified!) (Non-fiction)
3. Dilbert and the Way of the Weasel – Scott Adams (you’ll laugh till your stomach hurts. Must read for the corporate types. Easily the most hilarious after PGW) (Fiction)
4. Predictably Irrational – Dan Ariely (Tremendously insightful read) (Behavioral economics)

Fav Movies

All released in 2010. All in the General category.

1. Inception (Who could have ever thought Nolan could surpass The Dark Knight – this is mind-blowing! I didn’t want the movie to end)

2. The Social Network (racy, contemporary, excellent!)

3. Toy Story 3 (You really got to admire Pixar for its excellence and perfection – for the 3rd time!)

4. How to Train your Dragon (Animation and a beautiful story – just loved the movie!)

1) Peter Drucker on Excellence, Career and Planning – Precise, concise and excellent.

2) SCARF model – As one of my friends said, the article’s fundoo. Must read.

3) Self-esteem vs Self-respect – Brilliant read.

4) Most annoying book review clichés – I agree.

5) The Attention Economy – Visionary idea. Succinctly put.

6) Ten rules for writing fiction – Easily one of the best articles I’ve read on ‘How to write well’.

 2) Sri Lanka ‘chickened’ out - So says the DDCA VP. A dangerous pitch. Ball shooting off the pitch from a good length, which is almost impossible to play. Enough said. God help the Commonwealth Games scheduled in the same town, come June ’10. How does ‘Usain Bolt chickens out of Commonwealth’ sound to you? Not very good? I thought so. 

 3) Tharoor does it again, on Twitter - Politicians are being slammed for stating their opinions directly to the people. Immense fun ensues. As I said on Facebook, we have a very good benchmark for our politicians. We are ok with corruption, but not with sex. We are fine with rowdiness and flinging mikes but not comfortable with frank opinions. We are indeed a land of diversity. 

4) Haha, immense schadenfraude. Don’t mess with an intern.

 5) Trust the Nytimes to come up with a date which means something, again!

Nevertheless, I plan to post some interesting reading matter that I come across on a regular basis (and it’s easy too – not much time needed to mull over, contemplate and then write). 7) And finally, one of the funniest writers on Cricket, from the land of the Queen, Andy Zaltzman. Little dated but his humor in these two articles (Article1 and Article 2) is simply ingenious.
